Morning Glories #7
I do love a good mystery story. Along the lines of mega mystery stories like Lost, only hopefully with a better pay off at the end! Morning Glories academy seems to have picked these students for a reason. Zoe is angry that Casey didn't let her in on the plan to break Bella out of the infirmary. Yet she told Hunter and Jun.
She storms off and ends up chatting to a cheerleader and she is invited to join the squad only she has to answer three questions on a lie detector test. Which brings up some shocking things about her past, her step parents abused each other, she accidentally killed a teacher, and then on her final question she runs off. Who is David? Turns out the Cheerleader was asking the questions for the principal and Zoe kills her after exiting her office. Tit for Tat, gone over board. This issue seemingly did nothing to further the story other then suggest that killing is encouraged in this school. What the hell are they training them for? Why does Zoe not have her power anymore?
I worked out that the age of the characters is about 17/18 so I feel dirty when I look at the cover art. But I must say the cover art for this series is exceedingly strong and sets a really good feel for the book. I hope the story has a rewarding pay off, as there are a lot of questions being asked and not a lot of answers so far. Plenty of seeds being planted in the story though so fingers crossed.
Now she's getting the plot. FOURTH WALL AAH!
